The capsule was gold.
Half the supplement aisle is that shade.
Curcumin is the compound at the core, tested in more than sixty published trials.
The category is worth $368 million this year.
Every label says anti-inflammatory.
Here’s the thing.
I pay north of $20,000 a year for research feeds… the kind hedge funds and biotech insiders keep behind a wall.
When two big reviews of the same pill land on opposite sides, I pull each one apart.
And the first clue is absorption.
Very little of a standard curcumin dose makes it into your blood.
It breaks down fast.
Your gut clears most of it before a trace can reach the markers it was built to fight.

// The Facts
One team pooled 11 trials in people with chronic inflammatory conditions.
Curcumin did not bring CRP down (p = 0.08).
IL-6 and TNF-α stayed flat too.
A second team cast a wider net… 46 trials, 3,953 people.
CRP came down (p < 0.001). TNF-α and IL-6 both fell at the same mark.
Same compound in each review. Opposite findings on every count.
But the bigger pool mixed in enhanced forms most stores do not carry, while the smaller one also included enhanced forms.

Why Does Your Doctor Never Mention It? Pick One.
Quick: why do you think that is?
Most people pick A or B. The answer is D, and the chain is short.
It cannot be patented. No patent means no monopoly. No monopoly means no rep walking into the exam room with a free sample and a glossy brochure. So it stays off the checklist. Year after year. Doctor after doctor.
P.S. Nothing here requires anyone to be dishonest. That is what makes it hold for so long. See why

// Body Hack
The Brisk Thirty
Aerobic exercise is linked to lower levels of the same three markers a turmeric capsule is sold to fight.
A meta-analysis pooled 11 trials and 1,250 adults in their middle years and older.
CRP came down (p = 0.0002).
TNF-α and IL-6 both fell (p = 0.0007).

Pick your mode: a brisk walk, a swim, a bike ride, or a row. |
|
|
Set the pace: hold it where you can talk but cannot sing. |
|
|
Aim for 20 to 90 minutes: per session, not per day. |
|
|
Keep it up 2 to 5 times a week: and hold for at least 2 months. |
So skip the capsule and the absorption problem with it.
All you need is a pair of shoes.

I gave up my turmeric capsule six months ago.
Three mornings a week, I lace up and walk a fast loop for thirty minutes.
By week two my legs felt lighter before I got going… and my grocery bill went down by one bottle.
