THREE LABS CHASING THE ZOMBIE CELL
Each one wants to spot these cells and clear them for good.

The NIH gave the project a name: SenNet. Teams mapped zombie cells across more than fifteen organs and sorted them into types called senotypes.
“By mapping where different senotypes are found and what makes them unique, we aim to build a more complete picture of senescent cells across the body,” said Nicole Kleinstreuer, NIH deputy director.
Blood markers from the atlas can flag kidney disease, frailty, and diabetes risk in aging adults.

// AgeSlow
This is the first 48-week test of rapamycin in people who are not sick. The PEARL trial gave 114 adults, aged 50 to 85, a low dose or a placebo for 48 weeks.
Women on the higher dose gained lean tissue (p = 0.013) and reported less pain (p = 0.015). The drug is prescription-only and years from the shelf. But the data say the aging clock may have a dial.

Sam Altman put $180 million behind a company called Retro Biosciences. Its target is the lysosome… the bin inside each cell that clears waste.
When that bin jams, junk piles up and the cell starts to stall. Retro built a pill called RTR242 to unjam it. In December 2025, the first person took a dose in Adelaide, Australia.

The labs above are years from your shelf. But the fish oil trial is something you can hold in your hand, with 138 names and four months of blood draws behind it.
I put more than $20,000 a year into research feeds built for biotech insiders. Most of what I read gets cut. The few studies that clear my filter… end up here.
So does the omega-3.
